Honey and Walnut Cake

Competitive entry at the Southport Flower Show since 1993, until 2005.

4 oz butter or margarine 8 oz English honey

5 oz self-raising flour 2 eggs

2 oz chopped walnuts

 

Cream butter and honey. Add eggs and beat well. Fold in flour and nuts. Place in a greased and lined tin and bake in moderate oven for about one hour or until cooked.
