The aim of this meeting was to invite the people who expressed an interest in beekeeping at the Southport Flower Show last summer, and was very well attended by both members and potential future beekeepers.

As the weather was showery we brought along an observation hive in case we were not able to open the colonies. However, luck was on our side and the sun came out for long enough to look inside the hives.

As usual, there were plenty of delicious cakes, homemade bread and Homer Green honey.

Members were able to browse the branch library books and had the opportunity to buy frames and wax.
