After a lot of hard work by members who kindly volunteered their time and energy the new branch apiary is up and running. Brambles were removed before a digger was brought in to level the site ready for laying down Mipec ground cover and bark chippings and then a hedge of Portuguese Laurels was planted. The apiary is a great asset to the club enabling us to provide practical training for new beekeepers, and is also a fantastic venue for meetings and social get-togethers for all members.

The next meeting at the branch apiary is Saturday 31st August 1pm - 4pm.

In addition Diane may hold a Winter Preparation meeting in October and can arrange a meeting if anyone would like to use the wax melter for frame cleaning.
